The site visit will start off at Franck's, the center of all things DFTW in Florida, based on Martin Short's character in Father of the Bride. (I love that movie! Kimberley Williams-Paisley, the bride, is a Northwestern Alumna. Will love her forever!) Anyway, the visit will take about 2 hours out of our vacation. We're planning to do it in the morning before our day gets started and we will either get a sitter for Prince Charming's munchkins or schedule them for one of the kids-only activities that the Grand Floridian offers.
We will get to meet with one of the consultants to discuss our thoughts for the wedding and then go view some locations based on that. We can ask questions but this isn't the trip to do things like floral choices, cake tasting, menu planning, etc., because that comes much later, after the contract signing, closer to the time of the wedding, after we've been assigned our own actual wedding planner.
I plan to have a PowerPoint presentation for them with a little bit about us, the look and feel we're going for, and some ideas/thoughts.

This is the first trip to Disney for the munchkins as well as their first time on a plane and they're all kinds of excited.
You can find lots more photos of Franck's. It's a beautiful place.

How exciting! The site visit is so much fun, and super-helpful with beginning to envision what the wedding will really-for-real look like.
